We would love to meet you!

The Grace Presbyterian Church of Christchurch (GPC) is a Bible believing community of Christians living in Christchurch, New Zealand seeking to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ so that all peoples might come to know and worship God. We are reformed and evangelical and committed to the full authority and sufficiency of the whole Bible. We believe that hope in life is only found in God, who has revealed Himself to all people through the Bible and through Jesus Christ.

GPC holds to the classic formulations of Presbyterian theology which came out of the reformation period: the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. In addition we govern ourselves by the Book of Church Order prepared by our denomination, the Grace Presybterian Church of New Zealand.

Our Purpose

Reaching Up

We seek to glorify God through worship in spirit and truth.

Reaching In

We seek to equip every member of our church as a minister of the gospel.

Reaching Out

We seek to give ourselves away in mercy, service, evangelism and stewardship.

The Grace Presybterian Church of New Zealand

Grace in Christchurch is a founding member of the Grace Presybterian Church of New Zealand (GPCNZ).

GPCNZ is a national Presbyterian denomination that holds strongly to the Bible as its rule of faith and life. As a church, we have a passion for God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), and a passion for people.

This means that in all we do we seek to bring glory to God and to be aware of where he is leading us through his Word and Holy Spirit.  It also means that we are dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are lost, both here in New Zealand and elsewhere. In doing so, we remain firmly committed to the Reformed faith as the most consistent presentation and outworking of Biblical Christianity.
